I tried to explain it to someone else, but the HPTT issue wasn't necessarily a traditional "detection" - it was more so maybe an oversight of the capabilities of China ACE. For instance, they ban all PCIe x1 devices of a certain type... it's not like they somehow decided to look into HPTT immediately after launch. It was just maybe bad preparation or R&D on DeepCover's part, sure, and it should not have happened... if the MITM devices were more modern PCIe, there probably would have never been a mention.
They have rectified that specific China Ace issue and have been fine for month(s) now. People are in high Elo Faceit doing fine as well.

- The fw that hptt used in early days had massive problems in some of its modules - for example on some devices msi-x cap was shown as legacy msi-x, while ofcause the real device did not using legacy (only 1 example, there were a few more cfgspace related errors/bugs). But yeah atm it seems like they fixed the most of it
